Government has by Executive Instrument renewed the curfew imposed on Bawku Municipality and its environs in the Upper East Region to help maintain peace.
The Minister for Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, announced that the curfew will continue from Monday, March 3, 2025, and will be enforced from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
This was contained in a statement signed by the sector Minister on Monday, March 3.
Meanwhile, the Ministry has also placed a total ban on carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons within the affected communities and their environs.
“Any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.”
