The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, led a delegation from the Executive Council and Regional Football Association chairmen to pay a working visit to the Minister of Sports and Recreation on Monday, March 17, 2025. During the visit, Okraku emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the Football Association and that Sports Ministry in promoting football and sports in Ghana.
Kurt Okraku acknowledged the vital role that the Ministry of Sports plays in promoting football and sports across the nation. He stressed the need for a stronger partnership between the two entities to ensure that the progress made in Ghanaian football is effectively communicated and celebrated. Okraku also emphasized the importance of addressing challenges constructively through balanced and fair reportage.

The GFA President urged the sports media to work hand-in-hand with the Football Association to realize their shared vision for the growth of football in Ghana. He believes that a stronger partnership between the GFA and the Sports Ministry will contribute to the continued success of football in the country. Okraku’s call for collaboration is a welcome development, as it has the potential to promote Ghanaian football and sports in general.

The success of Ghanaian football depends on the collective efforts of all stakeholders, including the GFA, the Ministry of Sports and the sports media. By working together, they can promote Ghanaian football and sports, address challenges constructively and achieve great things.
