As the Black Stars prepare for their crucial World Cup qualification match against Chad on Friday, March 21, 2025, Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, addressed Parliament on Wednesday, March 19, outlining the team’s plans.

Adams emphasised the importance of instilling a winning mentality in the Black Stars, tasking the technical team to ensure the players are mentally prepared for the challenge ahead.

According to Adams, the team’s technical bench has been working tirelessly to develop strategies that will guarantee success in the upcoming matches against Chad and Madagascar.

The minister’s address to parliament comes at a time when the Black Stars are under immense pressure to deliver, having failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and struggling to find form in recent matches.

“The technical team has been tasked with instilling a winning mentality in the Black Stars,” Sports Minister Kofi Adams tells Parliament ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

The Black Stars will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025, before travelling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24. The team’s captain, Jordan Ayew, has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the national team, emphasising the need for support and unity in this critical period.

With the 2026 World Cup qualification hanging in the balance, the Black Stars will be looking to capitalise on their home advantage and secure a vital win against Chad.
