Teacher and Nurse Trainees to receive allowances monthly- President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has announced that teachers and nurses trainee allowances have been made part of the compensation package for public sector workers. This will enable the trainees to receive their allowances every month just like public sector workers are paid every month. President Mahama announced this when he took his nationwide thank you tour to the Northern region. Addressing the chiefs and people of the region in Tamale, President Mahama said the decision is to eliminate delays and its attendant arrears.

President Mahama said more than 500 million cedis has been allocated to procure textbooks locally for all basic schools to end the issue of no textbook in the basic schools in the last eight years.

President Mahama was grateful to the Northern region for its loyalty and trust in the NDC when many said their faith in the NDC was waning.
