The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Ghana, H.E. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dhakel, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), at the Ministry on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Discussions centered on strengthening diplomatic ties between Ghana and Saudi Arabia, with a focus on key areas such as the Hajj quota, scholarships, trade, and digitalization. Ambassador Al-Dhakel reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial relations, emphasizing the importance of collaboration for growth and development.

Hon. Ablakwa expressed Ghana’s gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support, particularly in education, construction, trade, and humanitarian assistance. He acknowledged Saudi contributions towards aiding inner-city communities and providing relief for victims of recent floods in the Volta Region.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
