Medeama SC secured a 2-1 victory over Basake Holy Stars at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, completing a season double over their opponents.
Basake Holy Stars took the lead in the 28th minute through midfielder Issah Yakubu, but Medeama equalized before halftime, with defender Kamaradini Mamudu scoring in first-half stoppage time.
Derrick Fordjour netted the winning goal in the 89th minute.
Medeama missed a penalty but dominated possession, recording 66% possession, 28 total shots, and 11 corners. Basake Holy Stars managed two shots on target and did not win a corner.
The result moves Medeama SC into the top four, though their position is subject to change based on Wednesday’s fixtures. Basake Holy Stars remain in 13th place, six points from safety.
