President Akufo-Addo, says the stalled Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) project at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) which started forty years ago would be completed by his government.
He said it is imperative to complete the one thousand bed-capacity project to befit the status of the second largest referral facility in the country. The Hospital serves a huge clientele within and beyond the borders of Ghana.
The President said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, at the Manhyia Palace, as part of his four day working visit to the Ashanti Region.
He assured the Asantehene that his government will not neglect the Ashanti Region, as it continues to pursue policies that would accelerate the development of the nation.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu commended the President for the start of work on the Kumasi roads and urged him to ensure the contractors execute quality work.
He was hopeful that the Region would receive its fair share of development projects and assured the President of his support.
