The Minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery has condemned the actions of vigilante groups in the country.
Speaking to newsmen in Parliament following armed brutalities of members of these groups, he said it is refreshing to note that Monday’s incident at Kumasi is being treated as a criminal act. He called for calm as the Police conduct its investigations .
Mr. Dery supported the call for the disbandment of vigilante groups.
He said the Police will enforce this without fear or favour. He said vigilantism must be totally eliminated and asked Ghanaians to be forthcoming with information that will assist the Police to apprehend the people who cause trouble.
