A Labour Expert, Seth Abloso says the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations and the TUC must strengthen their monitoring mechanisms to ensure that workers are not short changed in their conditions of service.
Speaking on GBC’s Radio Ghana on the introduction of contract service and cutting off of severance packages of Ghanaian workers by expatriate institutions, Mr. Abloso said if such developments are not checked, workers would be left demoralised and productivity would suffer.
Mr. Abloso also urged government and the TUC to walk the talk and protect the rights of workers because the country has signed up to the ILO convention which is an international standard practice.
