Ghanaian musician Trigmatic was involved in an accident on Sunday March 17, 2019.
He took to his Facebook timeline to announce the accident.
“Thank God for my life. This could’ve been sth else. But I’m safe. All these broken trucks should be taken off our roads. The level of indiscipline on our roads is so bad. I shook man. Hmmmmmmmmmm! God save us !” he posted.
In a press release shared by management on Facebook, he also noted that the accident took place around 6.30am on Sunday.
Trigmatic was on his way back to Accra from a seminar in Takoradi, where he gave a talk on Artiste & Media Relations as part of the RTC Western Music Awards.
Trigmatic was not driving and the car did not belong to him. It was a rented vehicle with an assigned driver who also came out uninjured.
The accident happened on the Cape Coast – Accra road ( Saltpond )and was specifically caused by a articulator truck parked on the road with no warning signs such as a reflective triangle, hazard lights or in our unfortunate case tree branches of any kind. The driver was caught unawares and drove straight into the truck.
The truck hadn’t broken down. Just a driver who carelessly parked the truck on a major road specifically down a slope.
No one was hurt or injured. Trigmatic is back in Accra and healthy.
They were thankful to well-wishers for their prayers and support.
Trigmatic’s ‘My Life’ tour continues in Kumasi on the March 22, 2019 and Takoradi in April.
