The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says though the party has received a letter from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on ways to facilitate a meeting between the two parties to disband vigilantes, the content of the letter did not state clearly what the New Patriotic Party (NPP) wants.

Deputy General Secretary of the Party, Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, speaking on GBC’s news and current affairs programme, ‘Behind the News’ said the letter lacked the commitment needed to address the issue of vigilantism.

National Youth Organiser of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye expressed shock at the NDC’s reservations about the letter which is to kickstart processes to disband vigilantism in the country.

He asked the NDC to come clear on its demands for the meeting to go ahead.
