The Ghana Health Service (GHS) in partnership with stakeholders will on the 1st of next month (May), start a pilot implementation of a Malaria vaccine in six selected regions of the country.
The Vaccine, RTS,S is an additional tool of intervention to accelerate Ghana’s efforts towards control and elimination of malaria.
Addressing the media in Accra, the Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare said the vaccine is to complement other recommended malaria control measures.
