The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Homemakers, Africa’s Home Management and Hospitality industry’s innovative game changer, Mrs Lady Johnson has been honoured as the Best Achiever in Home Care and Management Services award at the 5th Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards in Accra.

The CEO of the leading employment creator in Ghana’s Professional Home Management and Hospitality space was awarded among other outstanding women achievers in the country who are contributing immensely to the development of both industry and nation.

Mrs Johnson in an interview after the event said that she is not surprised that she got the Best Achiever Award even though Homemakers is a relatively young player in the industry. “We’re putting so much into what we do at Homemakers to deliver nothing but the best anybody could dream of,” she explained.

According to her, Homemakers seek to change the face of home management and hospitality services provision with an excellently professional touch that will productively create sustainable jobs for the teeming unemployed youth while delivering value-for-money driven excellent home management services to clients.”

She said their focus is not only on providing professional home management services but also on job creation because, “It’s too frustrating seeing new batches of unemployed graduates join old batches on the streets and in communities. It’s the job of entrepreneurs to create jobs not to complain about unemployment like everybody is doing.”

According to the CEO, it is out of their passion to help solve the growing unemployment problem in the country that they found some wide gaps in the home management and hospitality industry and decided to fill them with innovative solutions which are now sustainable sources of employment for many young people.

“We’ve established Homemakers Academy to train and groom professional home management personnel and place them on jobs. And, we have a very efficient quality assurance with effective monitoring and evaluation system to ensure uncompromising adherence to our values and standards.” she said.
