President Akufo-Addo, has expressed gratitude to the Chiefs and people of Oti region for accepting his choice of the regional capital without any controversy.
The President said this in his address to the Chiefs and people of Jasikan, Kadjebi, Biakoye, Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi at BODADA.
This is the start of his two day tour of the Oti region and the first since the separation of Oti from the Volta region.
In his welcome address, the Buem Hene, Nana Aburam Akpanja, who spoke on behalf of the Chiefs and people of the area, thanked the President and his government for the courage and commitment to the creation of Oti region.
He however pleaded with the President for equity in the distribution of development projects across the new region. The Oti Regional Minister Akwasi Owusu Yeboah, said creation of the region is the best thing that happened to the Oti enclave.
