Gov’t to introduce alternative punishment to decongest prisons

Government is to introduce alternative punishment as a strategy to deal with  overcrowding in the country’s prisons.

The Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery said government is vigorously pursuing the Justice for all Programme to deal with the decongestion of the  prisons.

He was reviewing the passing out parade of a recruit course at the Prison Officers Training School in Accra.
