21.8 million children trapped in child labour

The Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Bright Wireko-Brobbey says about 21.8 million children are into child labour describing it as alarming.
This, he said calls for swift policy intervention to accelerate awareness to tackle the problem.

Mr. Wireko-Brobbey was speaking at a media launch of the 2019 World Day Against Child Labour in Accra.

This year’s event will be commemorated on the 12th of June, at  Effiduase in the Ashanti Region.
