The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers Association is asking government to urgently remove all taxes on Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG.
The Association said the product which used to be subsidised has a price build up to 23 percent. Vice Chairman of the Association, Gabby Kumi, told GBC’s Nathaniel Nartey that the situation has led to a decrease in consumption of LPG in the country.
He said this is worrying because the benefits from LPG consumption out-weighs that of taxes imposed on it.
