The Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwapim South and Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, O.B. Amoah has described the furore on the construction of the 450 seater Chamber for Parliament as “Much Ado About Nothing”.

According to him, no such issue on the facility was brought to Parliament for discussion or approval.

Contributing to GBC’s Current Affairs Programme, “Talking Point”, Mr. Amoah said if the facility is brought to the House, he is sure the majority will reject it.

The MP for Lower Manya Krobo, Ebenezer Okletey Terlarbi, said government could do better to save the country by expanding the current Chamber rather than spend 200 million on a new one.

For his part, the Acting Vice Dean, Centre for International Education and Collaboration, (UPSA), Dr. Koryoe Anim-Wright, then added that public uproar is not against government but an opposition to the policy.
