The University of Ghana says it is steadily attaining its vision of a 50 per cent ratio for both Male and Female Students Admissions.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu said this at the Congregation of the College of Humanities of the University in Accra.
The graduates were advised to first consider adding value to their chosen professions before thinking of making money.
The University of Ghana admitted eleven thousand two hundred sixteen (11,216) students for the 2018/19 academic year.
Fifty-one percent (51%), of the number were male students while 49 per cent were females. Vice Chancellor Prof Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu said the current ratio means the University is close to achieving the 50 percent ratio for both gender.
Prof Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu expressed gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for honouring his pledge of ¢5 million to the university’s 70th Alumni Homecoming celebrations.

Chairman of the University’s Governing Council, Prof Yaw Twumasi urged government to bring out policies that will reduce the rate of unemployment in the country.
