Documented history of the Assemblies of God church in the book, Fire from the North.

The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana Reverend Professor Frimpong Manso, has documented the history of the Assemblies of God, Ghana in his book  “Fire from the North”.

The book launched in Accra gives an exposition of the origin of the Church.

Professor Frimpong Manso noted that an establishment without history is short-lived.
This is the first time since its inception that the history of the Assembly’s of God Church, has been chronicled in a Book.

“Fire from the North” talks about the establishment of the Church and how it began from the North.

The book gives an account of the Church’s constitution, tenets, growth and development as well as the church’s impact on both spiritual and physical lives.

The Author of the book, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Professor Frimpong Manso said it was imperative for him to document the history of the Church.

According to him, an institution will not stand the test of time if its history is discarded.

“Fire From The North”  is a painstakingly researched book by the author which features interviews with key persons who played vital roles in the formative years of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana.

It was officially unveiled by the Former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Professor Opoku Onyinah.
