President Akufo-Addo has tasked the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, to submit a proposal, for the establishment of a Fund, to deal with sanitation problems in the country.
He said government’s commitment at improving Liquid Waste Management in the country is very high, as evidenced in the creation of a separate Ministry, for Sanitation and Water Resources.
President Akufo-Addo made this known in a speech read on his behalf by the Minister for Planning, Prof. Gyan Baffour, at the Sanitation Challenge for Ghana Awards ceremony, held in Accra.
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, was adjudged the overall winner and took home, 400 thousand pounds.
