Manchester United took a significant step towards the Europa League knockout stages as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer picked up his first away win as the club’s permanent manager with a 1-0 victory at Partizan Belgrade. United broke the deadlock three minutes before half-time through Anthony Martial’s penalty after Brandon Williams was brought down in the penalty area by Nemanja Miletic.
With Arsenal on the verge of a second defeat in four days, Unai Emery used his last change to bring on Pepe and it turned out to be a masterstroke as the Ivorian scored two sensational free-kicks in the 80th and 92nd minute to snatch a 3-2 victory over Vitoria S.C.
Celtic beat Lazio 2-1 in their Europa League Group E clash through a last-gasp goal from Christopher Jullien. Christopher Jullien scored a last-minute goal to earn Celtic a 2-1 comeback win against Lazio at the Celtic Park.
Porto and Rangers also played out a 1-1 draw in Thursday’s Europa League Group G clash, with both goals coming in the first half. Alfredo Morelos cancelled out Luis Diaz’s stunning opener to earn Rangers a 1-1 draw with Porto at the Estadio do Dragao.
Wolves scored twice in the space of little over five minutes to come from behind and claim a 2-1 win at Slovan Bratislava in Europa League Group K. Romain Saiss and Raul Jimenez inspired a second-half fightback for Wolves as they beat Slovan Bratislava 2-1 away from home.
