Elections in Gabon were flawed says Security and Counter-Terrorism Expert

Elections in Gabon

Executive Director of the African Centre for Security and Counter-Terrorism, Emmanuel Kutin has faulted countries under the Accra initiative for not ensuring that, the elections in Gabon were properly conducted.

Speaking to GBC’s Augustus Acquaye, he said the strategic position of Gabon calls for effective monitoring of its affairs.

He asked African Leaders to take a cue from the wave of coups on the Continent and ensure that Constitutions and the rights of the people are not trampled upon.

Mr. Kutin said the alliances being formed by countries which have experienced coups recently should be a cause for concern.

He said no country is insulated from these coups, therefore, African leaders must endeavor to develop their countries.

While condemning the phenomenon of Coups, he said the takeover in Gabon was expected.
