While congratulating the National Blood Service for its continuous conducting of blood donations, it urges the Service to put in place measures to ensure that no donor contracts COVID-19 whilst donating. It also asks corporate organizations to rally support not only for the campaign against the spread of COVID-19 but also for the National Blood Service to become effective and functional to discharge their services to people in need and distress.
The Ghanaian Times calls on education authorities to strictly enforce COVID-19 regulations to safeguard the well being of all. The editorial captioned “Welcome back to school, but keep safe” also calls on final year students who are returning to campus from today to cooperate with school authorities and adhere strictly to safety protocols. To the paper, reopening of the Universities for final year students to complete their programmes will serve as a litmus test on whether Ghanaians can have their normal lives back, pending a complete lifting of the ban on public gathering. The paper reminds all that in the light of the reopening of the campuses for final year students, people must not let their guards down, taking cognisance of the spike in COVID-19 cases in recent times.
