The Ghanaian Times commends the initiators of the Justice For All Programme aimed at ensuring justice for prison inmates who deserve it as well as easing congestion in the prisons. It notes that the greatest achievement of the programme so far is that a total of 839 remand prisoners across the country had been discharged as of January 2020. Additionally, 1,596 out of the total number of 4,512 inmates who had appeared before the court had been granted bail, with 180 convicted and 28 referred to the psychiatric hospitals. The Times, therefore, calls for more Justice For All Programme sittings at short intervals. Adding that the problem of investigators abandoning cases with no good reason must also be addressed.
