The Daily Graphic commends government for its relentless efforts in making the Year of Return a massive success. The paper notes that due to the savvy and attractive marketing drive, Ghana has been listed by the global media as a preferred tourism destination. The paper says Ghana became the must-go-to country last year with thousands of people trooping in. It mentions visits by some famous personalities like the US Congressional Black Caucus led by the Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Steve Harvey, Bishop TD Jakes and others.
The Graphic says the Year of Return yielded a positive effect on the economy and development of the country. The paper is therefore satisfied with the launch of the “Beyond the Return ” which is the sequel to the Year of Return and urges the government to invest more resources to develop the country’s tourism sector to derive maximum benefit from the initiative.
