Yahaya started life as a G4S Security man stationed at Vivo Energy. He had ‘blown’ his WASSCE with flying colours but had no money to pursue his education. He missed his first admission at the university of Ghana to pursue Dr of Pharmacy because he had no money, no helper and no hope. His attitude and demeanour made us take an interest in him. When we saw his WASSCE results, together with a few friends we resolved with the help of God to make Yahaya’s dream of becoming a Dr. a reality.

Fast forward to today, he stands proudly, adorned in his white coat, as the best student in Pharmaceutics and the overall best student in the preclinical years of the PharmD program at KNUST. It’s a moment he never thought possible, yet here he is.

This achievement isn’t just his; it’s a testament to his family’s sacrifices, his mentors’ guidance, and his own determination. He hopes his story inspires others from humble beginnings to chase their dreams, no matter how impossible they seem.

As he begins this new chapter in his journey to become a pharmacist, he is reminded that success is not just about personal achievement, but about the positive impact we can have on our communities.
