Ghanaian-American pop star Amaarae is set to make history as the first Ghanaian artiste to perform at California’s signature Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2025.

The “Princess Going Digital” hitmaker is scheduled to perform on Sunday, April 13 and 20, sharing a star-studded lineup with major acts like Post Malone, Travis Scott, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion, South African sensation Tyla, Ty Dolla Sign, T-Pain, and Nigeria’s Rema.

The announcement was made on Coachella’s Instagram page on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

Amaarae will share the spotlight at the two-weekend event, which will feature Green Day headlining Saturday and Post Malone closing on Sunday.

Ama Serwah Genfi, professionally known as Amaare has had an incredible 2024, featuring appearances at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival and a collaboration with American rapper and actor Childish Gambino on his “Bando Stone & The New World” album.
