Ariana Grande seemed pretty upset over Mac Miller’s posthumous loss at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Mac had been nominated in the category for best rap album, but lost out to winner Cardi B on the night.

The rapper got his first ever Grammys nod for his fifth and final studio album, with news of his nomination being revealed just three weeks after his death in September last year from an accidental overdose.

His ex girlfriend Ariana had shunned the ceremony, after a dispute with Grammys producers, but had tuned in on the night and was seen sharing her upset over Mac’s loss when his category was announced.

According to E!, Ariana tweeted and deleted a series of angry posts hitting out at Mac’s posthumous loss.

She clearly had hopes the late star would pick up the Grammy and allegedly posted ‘trash’, ‘fuck’ and ‘literal bullshit’ in three tweets on news of his loss, before thinking better of it and deleting them.

Grande seemed to hit out at Grammy producers once more when responding to a fan in another deleted tweet that read: ‘THEY INVITED HIS PARENTS OUT. NO.’

Mac’s nomination was recognised by his family and his mother Karen Meyers had attended the Grammys in support of the star.

Making it clear that she had no beef with Grammys winner Cardi, Ariana is claimed to have also tweeted and deleted: ‘nothing to do w [Cardi]. good for her. i promise. i’m sorry.’

Mac – whose full name is Malcolm James McCormick – had died aged 26 from an accidental overdose, after taking a cocktail of fentanyl and cocaine.

He was found at his home in San Fernando valley and his death came just as he was preparing to head off on tour, following the release of his album Swimming.

Mac was known for his relationship with ex Ariana and she was seen paying tribute to him on what would have been his 27th birthday on 19 January last month.

She has also included bittersweet references to the late star in the lyrics of songs on her latest album Thank U, Next.
