In an interview on GTV’s breakfast show, Brother Sammy revealed that he was once a footballer before transitioning to gospel music.

He shared that he had captained Asante Kotoko’s under-17 and under-21 teams, but his football career was cut short due to his height.

Brother Sammy credited Baci Mix, a renowned music producer, with discovering his talent while singing at a church program.

Mix had recently opened a new studio and offered to record Brother Sammy, marking the beginning of his music career.

Brother Sammy emphasized that his entry into gospel music was divine, stating that his first song was spirit-led.

He encouraged viewers not to give up on their goals, assuring them that with persistence, their dreams will eventually come to pass.

He also took the opportunity to promote his new song, “Ebe Ba Mu,” inviting listeners to tune in.
