Ghanaian chef Abdul-Razak Failatu has started her quest to set a Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest cooking marathon.

On the eve of the New Year in 2024, Failatu Abdul-Razak turned on the cooker to break the world record.

The cook-a-thon is currently underway on the premises of Modern City Hotel in the Northern Region of Ghana.

Failatu was ushered into the premises of Modern City Hotel with dancing and singing.

Fans and supporters counted down for her to begin her Guinness World Record Cook-a-thon attempt.

And netizens are also showing their support and eagerly anticipating her attempt to cook for an astounding 120 hours.

The hashtag #FAILACOOKATHON is gaining traction on social media as netizens rally behind her bid to surpass the current record.

She aims to cook for an astounding 120 hours to break the current Guinness cook-a-thon record held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, who cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes.

This follows closely on the heels of Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum’s recent conclusion of a successful six-day sing-a-thon world record attempt.
