Ghanaian music sensation, Paul Nii Amu Andrew Darko, known by his stage name Darkovibes, has expressed his gratitude for the success of his hit song “Je M’appelle”.

The well-known song writer Darkovibes passionately revealed how the Nigerian Afrobeat star, Davido, became an integral part of the track, blessing him with a verse that made the song an instant hit in Ghana and beyond.

According to Darkovibes, the encounter with Davido took place at a club called Twist in Ghana, where he approached the Afrobeat sensation, and Davido graciously agreed to contribute a verse to “Je M’appelle”.

“I met Davido in a club in Ghana called Twist, and I approached him to talk about my upcoming album. I visited his apartment, and that’s where he added his verse to the song Je M’appelle,”he stated during an interview with Kafui Dey on GTV’s Breakfast Show on November 10, 2023.

Darkovibes revealed his musical inspirations, referring to Amakye Dede as his number-one favourite.

“I like to listen to some other artists, and my number one favourite is Amakye Dede from my growing-up days. In the current music scene, I also enjoy King Promise, especially his song Terminator.”

Reflecting on his journey, Darkovibes acknowledged the massive support from his father, emphasising that it provided him with the courage to pursue and create music.

Darkovibes further delved into his recently released album titled ‘BUTiFLY,’ a musical masterpiece comprising 17 tracks. The album boasts collaborations with top artists, including Wizkid, Davido, Manifest, King Promise, and several others.
