Sally Frimpong Mann, a very outspoken pundit on GTV’s late-night entertainment show, ‘Spectacle’, has spoken about how entertainment pundits in the country over the years have been treated unfairly and called names because it is assumed that they do not understand some of the things they say.

Addressing the concerns raised by JMJ, another guest on the show, about how anyone classifies themselves as an entertainment critic or pundit when they do not have in-depth knowledge on the issue, Sally said, “First and foremost, when you are speaking on an issue and it benefits people, they agree and side with you, but once there is a switch, people tend to question your integrity and your knowledge about entertainment.”

“When you sit here and say you’re a record label, nobody knows what you have done, but you claim you are one, the same way if someone says something and it goes against the gatekeepers of certain groups, that’s the moment we begin to hear questions like, Who is she? What do they do? and what’s her background?”

She went ahead to explain, “It is through your work that people will get to know you, and I think it is about time people give entertainment pundits some credit for their work done.”

“I have gone to school for what I am doing and I don’t need to show you my certificate before you know what I am capable of doing or saying,” she concluded.
