Gospel Musician KODA is reported dead after battling kidney disease for years

Kofi Owusu Duah Anto, popularly known in the Ghanaian music scenes as KODA has been reported dead in the early hours of Sunday, April 21, 2024.

Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, known widely in the music circles as KODA, is a Ghanaian Gospel singer, songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist from Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana.

News of his demise broke out on various media platforms reporting a sober and  untimely departure of the renowned Gospel Musician KODA. Sources close to his family have also confirmed his demise.

Various news platforms, socials, media channels, are revealing that the talented artist had been bravely battling kidney disease for an extended period. 

KODA celebrated for his uplifting melodies and soulful compositions, has left an indelible mark on the Ghana music industry. 

With hits like ’Nkwa Abodoo’, ‘NsemPii’, ‘Yapai’ and Adorso’ to his credit, his music resonates deeply with audience, inspiring hope and faith. His demise has cast a pall over the music industry, leaving fans and fellow musicians mourning the loss of a true legend. 

KODA’s  contribution to Gospel Music will undoubtedly endure as a testimony to legacy. He was 46, and left behind a wife and three children. kODA as a producer, worked for the likes of the late Danny Nettey, Ps. Joe Beechem, Nii Okai, Halal Afrika, Eugene Zuta, and more.
