Although rapper Strongman Burner might seem to be currently enjoying the buzz which resulted from his ‘beef’ with Medikal, he does not want to be tagged a rap battle artiste.
“I just don’t go around beefing with artistes for beefing sake. I will battle it out lyrically with an artiste when it’s very necessary.
“With rapper Tee Phlow for instance, it was a competition and I won and with Medikal, I didn’t start it, he called for it and I had to respond” the former SarkCess Music signee told Showbiz.
According to Strongman, there are countless times other rappers have called on him for rap battle but he had refused.
“I have been asked several times for rap battles but I had turned the requests down. In fact, other rappers have even gone ahead to diss me on their songs but I don’t mind them because of the brand I am building” he said.
Touching on his recent beef with Medikal, Strongman said he is surprised Ghanaians loved the song because he was not serious with it.
“Honestly, I am surprised Ghanaians love the diss song and are encouraging me to do more.
“Well, I have other songs such as Transformer featuring Akwaboah, Baby Girl featuring Kuami Eugene, Ups and Downs featuring M.anifest and more I would want Ghanaians to pay attention to” he said.
On the way forward, Strongman said he has a lot of projects in the pipeline and called on his fans to give to support him to bring them to fruition.
“I have so many songs I will be releasing in a couple of weeks and I need all the support from Ghanaians.
“Although I have the attention now, I will still need Ghanaians to give me the push and also support my music”, he added.
