Menaye Donkor, a Canadian-born Ghanaian and the National Director of Miss Universe (Ghana) has opened up about her personal life, revealing that she used to be a tomboy and a bookworm during her youthful age. She made this revelation on the 17th December 2021 edition of the Breakfast Show.

Menaye Donkor is a Canadian-born Ghanaian businesswoman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and former beauty queen who was named Miss Universe Ghana 2004, and represented Ghana in Miss Universe 2004.

Menaye Donkor is the wife of Ghanaian professional footballer Sulley Muntari. Speaking on what pushed her to be in a pageant, she stated that she was a very private person, who always had a pair of glasses on and was always in trouble because she was constantly climbing trees during her childhood until a friend asked her to do something fun since she continuously lived a boring life.

Speaking on whether she knew she would win the pageant, Menaye said “it was a very short competition but I told myself yeah yeah this is all for me”.

She added that it was a great experience for her to represent Ghana internationally and it gave her a lot of confidence because competing with 79 other ladies was not easy.

Menaye Donkor is a mother, a businesswoman, National Director of Miss Universe (Ghana) amongst other things who loves to travel, loves the sea and exotic places, swims and wishes to travel to space one day.
