Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo and First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo pulled out all the stops as they hosted a state banquet for United States Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff at the Jubilee House in Accra on Monday, March 27, 2023.

The star-studded event was attended by a plethora of high-profile guests, including members of the African Diaspora in the United States.

The guest list was a who’s who of Ghana’s most prominent businessmen, politicians, entrepreneurs, creatives, and diplomats, making it a night to remember.

The state dinner brought together notable personalities from various spheres of society, including former President John Kuffour, Electoral Commission Chairperson Jean Mensa, Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame, Chief Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, and many more.

The banquet hall was transformed into a lavish setting, with beautiful floral arrangements and glittering chandeliers, making it a feast for the senses.

The menu for the evening included an array of mouth-watering dishes that showcased Ghana’s rich culinary heritage.

The Vice President and Second Gentleman were clearly delighted by the warm welcome they received and expressed their gratitude for the hospitality shown to them.

The state dinner was a significant event, highlighting the strong diplomatic ties between Ghana and the United States.

It also served as a platform to celebrate Ghana’s cultural diversity and showcase its unique identity to the world.

The two leaders discussed the strength of our people-to-people ties, and Vice President Harris applauded President Akufo-Addo’s leadership to elevate engagement with the African Diaspora.
