In an interview on GTV’s breakfast show on September 2, 2024, renowned Gospel musician Joyce Blessing revealed that she doesn’t rely solely on music royalties for her livelihood.

Music royalties in Ghana are handled by the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), an agency responsible for collecting royalties on behalf of music copyright holders, as established under section 49 of the Copyright Law, Act 690 of 2005.

Joyce Blessing disclosed that she has a diverse portfolio, including a 10-acre cocoa farm, in addition to her music career.

She also expressed her desire to explore other interests if she had pursued further education.

The musician emphasized her neutrality in politics, stating that while she’s not affiliated with any party, she’s willing to perform at rallies if invited, prioritizing her love for Ghana over political affiliations.

When asked about her vocal training, Joyce Blessing attributed her talent to her natural voice, stating that fatigue is the only factor that affects her singing. She concluded the interview by introducing her new song, “Over Do”.
