Kumawood actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win, made his first public appearance just hours after a severe road accident on May 25, 2024, in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
Videos went viral on social media, showing Lil Win being helped out of his branded Benz with the movie title “A Country Called Ghana” and into another vehicle.
According to checks, the incident occurred in front of Grace Baptist Church at Amakom in Kumasi.
Lil Win, traveling with two others, collided head-on with another vehicle while driving his Benz. All occupants, including Lil Win, sustained injuries and were immediately taken to the Accident and Emergency Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
A UTV report late Saturday mentioned that Lil Win had undergone surgery.
Despite his injuries, Lil Win was seen at the Kumasi premiere of his movie, “A Country Called Ghana,” held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He was ushered into the venue with a plaster on his head, indicating the severity of his injuries.
Eyewitnesses reported that Lil Win, along with his road manager and bodyguard, suffered minor injuries. At the time of the accident, Lil Win was on his way to the funeral of actress Matilda Asare’s mother.
