Renowned Nollywood actor John Okafor, widely known as Mr. Ibu, has taken to social media to seek assistance from the public as he battles a health condition that could result in the amputation of his leg.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, the veteran actor shared that he has been unwell for several weeks and has been under medical care.
Addressing the seriousness of his ailment, he revealed that his medical team has cautioned that amputation may become necessary if all other treatment options are exhausted.
Jasmine Okafor, his daughter, also spoke in the video, expressing her concern that her father’s health has not shown signs of improvement and that his financial resources have been depleted.
She therefore appealed to kind-hearted individuals to contribute to the funding of his medical treatment abroad.
Accompanying the video, Mr. Ibu included a message: “Dear compassionate people of Nigeria, we are relying on your support during this challenging time.”
