Digital Media Influencer and YouTuber, Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon famously identified as Wode Maya shed tears as he recalled encouraging moments his dad shared with the family before he passed on.
The popular YouTuber who was on the GTV Breakfast Show with host Kafui Dey said his dad whose favorite sonf was an ancient Christian hymn, “We have an anchor” would often sing the song anytime the family faced difficult times.
“../My dad when things become tough in the house, he will sing “we have an anchor that keeps the soul” for us to know that whatever is happening to us is just temporal, it’s not permanent. So that was his favorite song, always singing that song to us. So we were all singing the song together. And when things get better, he will sing, “Da n’ase, da n’ase…” (Praise God), he soberly revealed.
This ancient hymn; “We Have an Anchor” by an old American Sunday School teacher Priscilla Owens, reassures Christians of the power of God’s intervention in their hardest moments.
“Refrain:
We have an anchor that keeps the soul
steadfast and sure while the billows roll;
fastened to the Rock which cannot move,
grounded firm and deep in the Saviour’s love!”
The YouTuber further stated that his father was proud of what he was doing and it is quite unfortunate that he had passed on when things are so well with him.
