Ghanaian Actor, Provencal Oscar, has called on the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture to adopt creative measures to make tourism more attractive to Ghanaians and foreigners.
He noted that the deplorable state of tourist sites is the reason Ghanaians highly patronise Dubai. “We can’t keep on going to forts and castles,” he added while appealing for the advancement of tourist sites.
“We go to Dubai, why do we go to Dubai? Why don’t we create our own Dubai, not Dubai per se? I’m talking about our own tourist attractions,” he opined.
The Ghanaian Actor made these statements on the GTV Breakfast Show on the Tourism Ministry‘s intention to invest $20 million to improve tourism and arts attraction.

He also lamented the inability of the government to implement its policies as promised.
“I’ve been around for a while; I’ve heard $50 million before around Catherine Afeku’s time and it came down to $20 something million. Now it’s $20 million. We’ve heard this many times,” he said.
However, he hoped that the Ministry would use the money for its intended purpose.
