Rapper Edem set to declare candidacy for NDC parliamentary primaries seat

Ghanaian musician, Edem, has set social media ablaze with the news of his intention to contest in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.

The artiste, also known as Denning Edem Hotor or Edem Goget’em, teased fans with an artwork on social media bearing his photo and the NDC’s insignia, promising to make a big announcement soon.

Although it is not clear which constituency he will be contesting in, The Volta Regime boss has promised to reveal the full details of his political ambition on March 22, 2023.

Fans have been reacting to the news, and his photo has since been trending on social.

Interestingly, Edem is not the only entertainment figure seeking a seat in the NDC parliamentary primaries.

Baba Sadiq, a music and media entrepreneur, is also running for the Okaikoi Central Constituency.

Furthermore, two Ghanaian actors, John Dumelo and Fred Nuamah, are also vying for the NDC parliamentary primaries seat in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

The NDC has scheduled its presidential and parliamentary primaries for May 13, 2023.
