On a vibrant evening at the La Palm Royal Beach, Afro-dancehall artiste Stonebwoy filled the sea breeze with a brilliant musical performance at his annual ‘Bhim’ festival.

The stage was set with dazzling lights and state-of-the-art sound equipment, and Stonebwoy made it an unforgettable night for the thousands in attendance.

The Bhim festival, which is arguably the biggest music concert of the December in Ghana events, lived up to the hype, with Stonebwoy proving his dominance in the Ghanaian music circle.

The Performance

Stonebwoy’s opening performance at this concert was a stunner having made a gigantic entry on stage with a flaming throwing sword.

Most of the fans were nervous, but Stonebwoy appeared unfazed by the blazing sword, singing his iconic hit tune ‘Praises’ from the Epistles of Mama album.

Dressed in a Navy-like attire, it was smooth musical sailing for Stonebwoy, who dazzled with some of his reggae tunes, including “Non Stop,” “Run Go,” and others.

One of the most memorable moments of the concert was when the Queen of Dancehall, Spice, made a surprise appearance on stage while Stonebwoy was performing.

She sent the whole place bouncing as she performed the popularly “Jiggle & Whine” hit song with Stonebwoy, who was certainly mesmerised with the energy from the Queen of Dancehall.

Another intriguing moment of the Bhim Festival was the highly anticipated performance of Nigerian Afrobeats star, Davido.

It was a standstill moment, and the lighters were up when Davido came up on stage as he performed the “Activate” hit single with Stonebwoy.

The Nigerian superstar spent about 20 minutes on stage to thrill fans with some of his hit songs, including “Unavailable,” “Blow My Mind,” among others.

Legendary Guest Performers

It was a reunion for some artistes who have had a great impact on Stonebwoy’s career, with the likes of Kwaw Kese and Reggie Rockstone making surprise appearances on stage.

Reggie Rockstone, who is regarded as “The Godfather of Hiplife” music, made a brief cameo on stage performing some of his popular tunes, including the timeless “Fa Me Bone Kyeme,” which featured KK Fosu.

Another iconic artiste who stepped on stage was Kwaw Kese, who proved to the music fans gathered at the venue that he still had some ruthless vibes.

It was a back-to-back performance of some of the best Hiplife rhythms from the Agona-Swedru-based artiste who brought some “Abodam” vibes on stage.

Other artistes including Efya, Epixode, Praye, Lyrical Joe, King Jerry, and Praye Tiatia, put on some massive performances during their turns on stage.
