Coronavirus: Ghana’s case count reaches 5,530 with 674 recoveries

Ghana’s COVID-19 case count has increased to 5,530 with 674 recoveries. The case count as of Wednesday, May 13, 2020, stood at 5,408.

This means that 122 new positive cases have been recorded.

The total number of deaths stands at 24.

Giving a breakdown of the new cases, Dr Badu Sarkodie said 57 of the new cases were recorded in the Greater Accra Region, 62 in the Ashanti Region, two in the Central Region and one in the Western North Region.

The Director of Public Health of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie said this at a media briefing by the Ministry of Information on Ghana’s COVID-19 update in Accra.

The Press Briefing centered on further clarifications on hospitality sector openings, update on Government engagements with stakeholders on potential post restrictions measures and Community spread advisory.
