GBC Volta Star Radio’s Tilda Elinam Acorlor emerged as the Best Sports Journalist in Volta Region for the second time.
Tilda Elinam Acorlor emerged as Volta Region’s Best Sports Journalist of the year, at the second edition of Ghana Journalists Association’s awards Volta region.
The awards night which was held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Skyplus Hotel, Ho was on the theme; “Media-Key Partner in Local Governance”, aimed at awarding and celebrating hard working journalists in the region.
Miss Acorlor, the only notable female Sports Journalist in the region, tendered in the article “Sporting Infrastructure And The Volta Region”, to beat off competition among others.
A feature story that assessed how sporting facilities in the region are deteriorating or in none existence with focus on how the northern part of the region has been cut off in terms of provision of sporting facilities.
Speaking to Miss Acorlor after receiving her award, she was delighted for emerging the best sports journalist of the year for the second time.
“Am elated for winning again this year, it means whatever you are doing people are watching you from afar and to me, winning this award will challenge me to work harder.”
The ceremony was attended by personalities including the Deputy Information Minister Enam Hadzide and the Volta Regional Minister, Archibald Letsa.
