Radio Ghana’s Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng has been awarded the Advocacy Journalist of the Year.
His award comes on the back of his numerous documentaries which highlights and sensitizes the public to the various infractions in the country’s prisons.
His philantropic works at the various prisons across the country also merited him the award.
The award seeks to celebrate and recognise the most outstanding and exemplary leadership that positively impacts the development of Ghana and Africa.
The annual event convenes and showcases the highest level of leaders in business, government, academia, philanthropy, media, among others.
Former Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba also picked CEO of the Year award in honour of her work at the Henry Djaba Foundation.
The Deputy Communications Minister and also Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya West in the Central Region, George Nenyi Andah was named the Humanitarian MP of the Year.
Auditor General Daniel Domelevo, JUSAG President Alex Nartey , CEO of the Mental Health Authority Dr Akwasi Osei were also honoured at the event.
