Management of Keta Business College (KETABUSCO), in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region have appealed to government to urgently support it to complete three abandoned GETFund projects and other facilities in the school.
The projects, some of which were started nearly ten years ago are expected to solve the school’s infrastructural deficit as well as enhance teaching and learning.
The Headmaster of the College, Etse Kwaw-Seake, made the appeal at the 6th Speech and Prize Giving Day of the School.
The three abandoned GETFund projects include a classroom block and boys and girls dormitory. These projects have stalled for almost ten years.
A dining hall which will serve as an assembly hall for students initiated by the PTA has also been abandoned for lack of funds.
Headmaster of the College, Etse Kwaw-Seake, was not happy about this and urged government and benevolent organizations to intervene to ensure that the projects are completed.
The Old Students Association of Keta Business College also known as Coronats has been instrumental in expansion of infrastructure at the school.
The President of the Association, Seth Kwame Anane disclosed that plans are far advanced for the establishment of an endowment fund to help brilliant but needy students. He called on all old students to support the initiative.
The winner of this year’s Teachers’ Prize, Nicholas Gborse, is an old student of the school. He encouraged students to endeavour to excel regardless of challenges they encounter on campus.
