Doctors, nurses and allied staff at the Tamale Teaching Hospital say they will only return to work after the authorities have put proper security measures in place to protect them from further attacks from vigilante groups.
Speaking on GBC’s News and Current Affairs Programme ‘Behind the News’ last night, Spokesperson of the Staff, Dr. Michael Dama demanded a 24-hour police post at the hospital and an assurance that the attacks from outside will be a thing of the past.
Meanwhile, four of the six culprits picked up over the attack by the Police have been released unconditionally.
The police say an identification parade indicated the four were not part of those who attacked the hospital on Monday (August 13).
