The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into a viral video showing young men harassing a female student in the Ashanti Region.
A troubling 31-second video that has been circulated widely on social media shows a disturbing incident involving a female student being harassed by a group of young men.
The clip titled “Kumaca on heat,” shows the female student walking in front of a large crowd of predominantly male students. As she moves through the crowd, she endures both physical and verbal abuse, with several others pushing and attacking her, while others are heard jeering and encouraging the behavior.
The situation intensifies in a later part of the video, where an unidentified man grabs the student by the top of her dress and kicks her legs out from under her, further escalating the violence.
The Police Service in a statement issued on Facebook, assures the public that the perpetrators will be identified and arrested to face justice.
